Carter to be Featured Apple iPod ad campaign
Former
President Jimmy Carter has signed a deal to promote iPods, according to
Advertising Week Magazine. "My daughter gave me one as a gift, and I really
liked it". Asked why he agreed to do commercials to promote a music player,
Carter declined to comment until he'd finished listening to a Dizzy Gillespie
tune. "I wish they had these when I was younger, my hearing isn't as good as it
used to be, but I take it with me everywhere I go, it's particularly useful on
long flights." The first iPod ad
featuring the former President will appear during the Superbowl, to be followed
by magazine ads in late January. "We're really proud to have the former
President as a spokesman" said Apple CEO Steve Jobs. "Vice President Al Gore is
on Apple's board of directors" Jobs noted
enthusiastically...Okay,
okay, this is all hooey. It's just a picture of Jimmy Carter wearing headphones.
