COMIC-BOOK PIONEER IS PREPARING A NEW GRAPHIC NOVEL ABOUT SEPT. 11; HE'LL SPEAK TUESDAY IN BERKELEY
Spiegelman is scheduled to speak at the University of California-Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall at 8 p.m. Tuesday as part of the Cal Performances Strictly Speaking series. The title of his talk is ``Comics 101.1,'' which he describes as an opinionated history of the medium that attempts to answer the question, ``Why on earth anyone should bother paying attention to comics?''
