Curiously strong homemade iPod case

There's a whole slew of articles about this--customizing Altoid boxes for use with portable tech gadgets-- here for example, and here. It looked easy, so I thought I'd try it myself. All that was required was a power drill, some packing foam, a piece of ribbon, and an Exacto knife. A completely trivial thing to do, but fun, and practical for disguising and protecting a small portable music player. Here are my results.

It would take a normal person about 20 minutes to fashion one of these things using these tools, but I had a few false starts (wrong kind of interior padding foam material, styrofoam doesn't work) so it took me about an hour to get it right.

I wasn't aware of how many uses there are for Altoid boxes until after I completed my own sample, and went looking on the web for other examples.
